Economic development is seen as a cooperative effort among the agencies, incubators, and organizations charged with supporting both startups and established businesses wanting to do business in north central Maryland.  Fort Detrick Business Development Office (FDBDO), the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI), and the nearby Technical Innovation Center at Hagerstown Community College (TIC Hagerstown) use the Basecamp Business Calendar Network to foster entrepreneurship in north central Maryland.
